The high school class transforming teen mental health
The world is tough. We’re all feeling it, including teens. In this documentary from our nonprofit friends at Peace in Schools, students speak candidly about anxiety, negative self-talk, identity pressure, the stress affecting their daily lives, and the fundamental transformations they’ve experienced in mindfulness class.
Through simple practices—breathing, grounding, reflection—they begin to understand their thoughts, regulate emotions, and offer themselves compassion many say they’ve never felt before.
Led by trauma-informed, heart-centered educators, the class gives students space to shed expectations, be vulnerable, connect with peers safely, and learn tools they’ll carry into adulthood.
“I used to hide everything I was feeling.”
“My biggest judge is myself.”
“This class helps me talk to myself with love.”
“I feel like I’m not alone anymore.”
